Munitions Transporter September 2016 to Present
Serves as munitions Transporter for URS corporation in support of the safe destruction of the United States stockpile of chemical weapons on PCAPP. Certifies CDL/ Hazmat driver.
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
May be required to work overtime or varying hours.
Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility.
Drive Modified Ammunition Van (MAV) between chemical munitions storage area and PCAPP plant.
Monitor and assist with moving Overpack Pallets into and out of MAV
Move Overpack Pallets into storage magazines using forklift.
Complete transfer of custody documentation
In case of munitions leakage, operator must unload containers in MAV Vestibule while wearing Protective Clothing and Equipment.
Operate material handling equipment and serve as spotter when necessary (i.e., electric vehicles, forklifts, pallet trucks and vans).
Perform minor maintenance as required.
