Responsible for the consolidation of accounts payable from hospital to a supply chain model. Key participant in the development of AP Policies for the organization. Calculate monthly discount to state AR at net realizable value for managed care and Medicaid payors, ensuring that the reporting systems are functioning properly. Coordinate with the Reimbursement team in the provision of data needed for filing the Medicare Cost report for three facilities.

Collaborate with senior leadership, executive leadership and department directors in preparing the annual budget of 5 facilities. Projecting volume, expenses and stats utilizing run rate, market trend, legislative mandates as well as strategic initiatives.

Aid senior leadership in identifying cost containment and efficiencies ideas to achieve financial goals and track monthly savings.

Prepare new service line P&L to review trends and viability compared to proforma.

Aid CFO in preparing presentations to senior leadership, board of directors, department directors and facility staff.

Hire, develop, motivate, and train accounting professionals as well as supervising their duties, activities and performance evaluations.

Ensure SOX compliance with System access, calculation of patient days, utilization of rents & leases, proper classification of fixed assets, appropriate payroll approval, inventory and financial disclosures.

Ensure the hospital’s internal controls are operating effectively with respect to marketing ER wait time, cash controls, drugs dispensation and charge master increase.

Work daily with management team, department directors and vendors on financial issues and controls.
