To Whom It May Concern:
Having worked for the same company for some 40 years has meant a great deal to me. Watching the company grow and expand over the years and being a part of it was very rewarding to me. I started working for Waldbaums when I was 16 years old and I would have loved nothing more than to finish my career and retire from there, however, I know that's not the way business always goes.
I started as a cashier while attending high school and through my college years. After graduating college, an opportunity opened up for me when the company wanted to change the cash registers from a hand ringing operation to an IBM scanning system. I was the first file clerk/scanning coordinator the company ever had. I grew with the system and opened many stores. I eventually became a trainer for everyone that went through the store managers training program as well as training new personnel for other scanning positions. I also spent some of my time covering for people on the front end as well as the customer service center, always keeping customer service high on my priority list. I also spent some time covering as a receiver. While I have performed many other duties inside the store, I was keeping customer service as my top priority. I have also maintained my high standards as a scanning coordinator.
After all of these years working diligently to help the firm remain profitable and to keep our loyal customers happy, I reluctantly must seek other employment. Due to the fall of A&P, unfortunately, I have to look for work elsewhere. Hopefully that firm will be yours and I look forward to using my many skills to make a positive impact in your stores and for your customers.
Sincerely,
Janice Brinkerhoff
