Electrical Engineer Intern, Savant Engineering LLC Sandy Springs, GA May 2022 – August 2022
• Accelerated the development of change packages consisting of lighting and power plans using AutoCAD 2021 for more than 7 clients in 3 months using industry standards, building codes and safety standards thereby increasing the number of projects completed that summer.
• Supported clients on site by providing detailed reports on their electrical needs which accelerated the design process.
• Integrated mechanical and plumbing plans from other departments to develop a comprehensive plan for clients.
• Developed panel schedules and risers and completed the diversification of panel schedules. Instrumentation and Controls Intern, Sinohydro Corporation (National Thermal Power Station Expansion) Hwange, Zimbabwe March 2021 – August 2021
• Performed in-depth analysis of designs, drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
• Responsible for main Substation Engineering, Field Services, Switchboard Wiring, Power Delivery, Substation Maintenance, and Substation Construction supervision to maintain quality standards of the assigned sites.
• Developed designs and supervised the construction of the main earthing plan at the Substation which allowed the construction to move forward at a faster pace.
• Collaborated with a team of 3 senior engineers to conduct protective relay testing, control scheme testing and commissioning of machinery.
Projects
Kennesaw State University Senior Project Design: WIRELESS BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
• Literature review, design, and practically test a wireless battery management system simulated on raspberry pi 4, that will monitor battery voltage, current, and state of charge and transmit monitored data wirelessly to a regulating system.
• Responsible for design scheduling and reporting through use of Gantt charts and house of quality. Activities/Organizations
• Drs. Betty L. and Joel H. Siegel Endowed Leadership Scholarship recipient.
