SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in developing proprietary databases, writing training manuals with the ability to train employees on those databases, programs, SAP, PeopleSoft, new systems and user testing of products and software. Over 20 years supervising. HIGHLIGHTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I am an Associate Project Manager and Change Management Specialist.

Developed disinfecting program for Vehicle Servicing with Winnipeg Transit. Came in under budget 2 years in a row (26 million-dollar budget).

Helped develop and implement a computerized dispatch system nationally. Trained the trainers for the national roll out of the PDT’s, for 60,000 staff.

Lectured, prepared, supervised, and graded first year courses in Geological Sciences, at University College of the Cariboo as an Instructor. Volunteered as a Faculty Advisor for the Geology Club.

Developed and implemented a volunteer information system, in 8 regions in Manitoba. Developed training documents and trained new users (adults who never used a computer), for the Canadian Cancer Society as an Information Systems Officer.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Superintendent of Vehicle Servicing

City of Winnipeg-Transit (January 2020-present)

Responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of vehicle servicing department with 3 locations in the city, including 75 employees, 640 buses 20 vehicles including a daily disinfection program.

Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the staff concerning the day to day operations of the branch.

Analyzes and adjusts staff resources to prioritize activities as required.

Develops job descriptions, selection criteria and questions for selection of resources, and participates in interviews and selects staff.

Develops, monitors and controls the in-house technical and safety training programs for staff engaged in vehicle servicing activities.

Investigates complaints, administers the ATU collective agreement, provides labor relations functions, and provides first level review in the grievance process, and administers discipline and dismissal as required.

Ensures consistent application of the Performance Management and Attendance Management programs within the Vehicle Servicing Branch.

Consults with Human Resources Branch as required ensuring adherence to Human Resource practices and the Collective Agreement.

Makes referrals to Employee Assistance Programs and Occupational Health Branch as required.

Liaises with senior representatives of the ATU to resolve contract interpretation issues

Prepares and administers the tri-annual job signups and annual vacation sign-ups for servicing staff.

Schedules employees on a weekly basis to maintain vehicle servicing

Initiates corrective action when insufficient vehicles are available to meet defined requirements, or when intervals between regular servicing programs are outside target ranges.

Liaises with other areas within transit to determine vehicle requirements, or special vehicle servicing needs (e.g. charters, special events).

Manages supply and service contracts for the Vehicle Servicing Branch.

Plans and schedules the pool of casual relief workers (maintenance workers) maintained to support operations of the Plant and Equipment division.

Allocates Servicing Branch staff to other Plant and Equipment branches

Provides input required for the development and improvement of maintenance computer information systems.

Ensures appropriate safety policies are observed in servicing operations, and providing input and assistance to the Maintenance Occupational Health and Safety Committee as a member.

Involved in development of divisional policies and procedures, and updates work and safety standards for the Vehicle Servicing Branch.

Analyzes the present performance of equipment and procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Recommends improvements and/or modifications related to equipment and procedures ensuring compliance to established standards.

Route Measurement Officer, Winnipeg

Restructure LC and MSC routes for a designated area of Delivery Services by applying the LC and MSC Route Measurement Systems and administering all phases of the process

Act as the subject matter expert to provide updates and guidance on the Route Measurement program and systems to front line supervisors, superintendents and managers

Resolve LC and MSC delivery route design and workload inequities and conduct route adjustments in an assigned area.

Responsible for the planning and delivery of Take to Company strategy, training, communications and design of the dispatch functionality, including functional design user testing. More specifically this included organizing focus groups, data analysis, writing the business requirements documents, signing off the functional designs, creating SIR’s and CR’s, provided recommendations, was the National SME (Subject Matter Expert on all systems, and master trainer), as well as the development of the training curriculum (writing/printing/distribution), testing and implementation of the systems.

Responsible for the training logistics, training collateral (CRN, CMG, Order to Cash, DRIVERS (RSMC’s, CUS, UEC), DESPATCHERS, CLERKS, SUPERVISORS/SUPERINTENDENTS, TRAINERS and RMO’s), and Train the Trainer sessions. Working with Regional LDI Managers to facilitate training.

After implementation level 1, 2 and 3 assessments are required for reporting.

Work on stabilization and exit criteria.
