I began my food and wine career in Napa Valley California where I worked with many talented chefs in different venues such as Auberge du Soleil, Medowood Country Club and The Sonoma Mission Inn in Sonoma Valley for 14 years. I’ve been trained in French service and and learned the ways of a professional kitchen.
These skill served me well during my tenure in Ohio at Zagara’s Marketplace in Cleveland Heights. Initially hired to work in the Deli Department, I demonstrated success in the management of the specialty foods and cheeses (23% increase in sales over the prior year), that within a year I was promoted to manager.
Due to my tenure in Napa Valley I gained a wealth of experience in wine, cheese and vintner practices working in wineries such as Cakebread Cellars, Robert Mondavi Winery and Opus One and also as a Cooper for Tonnellerie Française building wine barrels.
