PROFILE

I have worked in the trades as a Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager over the course of my career. I am trained in Plumbing, Carpentry, Ironworking/Heavy Rigging, Welding, Pipe Fitting, Electrical, and Millwright work. I am extremely pro!icient in understanding blueprints, an excellent communicator, write well, and computer savvy.

EXPERIENCE

My experience has ranged from working large industrial projects such as Blast Furnaces, Coke Batteries, Steel Rolling Mills, Nuclear Reactors, Boilers, Turbines, Manufacturing Plants, Owens Corning Fiberglass Plant addition, to commercial; Marriott Residence Inn, 145 units, Arby’s, Zaxby’s, Two Southern National Banks, residential projects such as kitchen and bathroom, complete remodels, and service work of all types. Worked with inspections departments and am familiar with permit issue procedures. During the course of my extensive experience I have also taught trades, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, and Welding.

The last 14+ years I have been teaching in the evenings. I became talented at identifying interventional methods and creating learning opportunities across differing cultural learning styles. I am dedicated with a passion for driving student progress and learning. Teaching students diverse subjects using real-world applications.
