Advanced Academic Coordinator 2015 – 2015
Coordinate and monitor student preparation for PSAT, SAT and Advanced Placement assessments. Monitor AP teachers in ordinance with College Board. Collaborate with Tarrant County College professors, register/monitor qualified students and ensure proper scheduling for students participating in our dual credit program. Promote, recruit, and develop our school’s Programs of Choice. Within our Programs of Choice, coordinated special events to recruit/inform all 8th grade students of our three programs available at our school that they can benefit from in graduation distinctions and certification at the completion of the program. As an Assessment Coordinator, the requirements include training certified teachers/staff on the state regulations for administering the STAAR (state) test. This also includes the scheduling of teachers that will administer the test. Developing a plan for the students that require specific accommodations. As a coordinator, a requirement is organizing the testing materials for the teachers. As a Data Analysis, the requirements include breaking down state and local data (which includes test, attendance, observational, etc.) in order for all stakeholders are able to focus on the main points of produced data. Another requirement is to participate in department PLCs (professional learning communities) in order to decipher the data and provide input to challenges/strengths that are identified.
