dddWelder’s helper (part time and full time)

We are accepting applications for a welder’s helper job, both part time and full time jobs are available. We run a low-management style fabrication shop and also do field welding. Sometimes you will be under direct supervision of a welder/fabricator, sometimes you will not. You need to be a self-starter who is able to keep themselves busy at slow times.

Job duties will alternate between the shop and the field, depending on where the work is needed. We usually work 35 hrs a week, Mon-Fri, and about twice a year on Saturday. We almost never spend the night out of town.

Education Required- HS Diploma or equiv.

Required skills/Job duties -

Work area clean up before and after projects

Ability to use a tape measure and basic math skills

Ability to use basic hand tools and basic power tools

Ability to take direction and help a welder/fabricator to complete projects (move tools, materials, help with a fit up, etc)

Ability to work with others and work safely

Preferred Skills, but not required- Ability to O/F cut, fabricate and weld on a beginner level.

Pay – Depends on experience
