Sprint & Ericsson – Branchburg/Harrison/Teterboro, NJ

• Conducting expert wireless network equipment installation and maintenance tests and repairing equipment problems.

• Handling configuration and fault management for a range of platforms including HLR, VLR, BSC, SMSC and IWF.

• Performing database backups, conducting hardware maintenance, and assisting RF engineering on network performance.

• Serving as Acting Manager when Manager is absent and working with telecom vendors for new equipment installations.

• Tracking and ensuring work is completed by coordinating with RF and translations engineers and field technicians.

• Setting up and maintaining test circuit data for over 200 cell sites re-homed from one switching facility to a new one.

• Ensuring documentation is accurate and complete and verifying that translations in Lucent equipment are correct.

• Providing on-site support during maintenance windows to put cell sites on the air and allowing for more capacity in NJ.

• Playing key role in assessing up to 900 switching center specific parts for inventory audits and pre-audits.

• Troubleshooting, upgrading, and administering multiple vendor systems and supplying digital or hardwire cross connects.

• Installing/maintaining switching, data communications, and peripheral equipment and handling preventive maintenance.

• Maintaining and provisioning sufficient OD3s, DS3s, DS1s and DS0s to supply required bandwidth for wireless traffic.
