Accomplishments:

Associate Pastor of large First Presbyterian Church, Midland, Tx. developing educational program for all ages. Trained teachers and committee members, resourced and led their planning process, gave youth leadership. Introduced faith development concept for process of nurture. Congregation kept pace with the latest developments in denominational resources and curriculums. Preached occasionally. In regional body initiated first Peacemaking Program Committee.

Pastored small suburban Woodforest Presbyterian Church, Houston,Tx. overseeing entire congregational life. Preached every Sunday. Initiated and sustained for eleven years the Presbytery’s Social Justice and Peacemaking Taskforce, focusing upon issues in Palestinian-Israeli relations. Introduced Palestinian Christian perspective and stories.

Pastored middle sized First Presbyterian Church, Lakewood, Co. overseeing organizational redevelopment, leadership training, education, and extending pastoral care. Preached every Sunday, expanded membership and annual offerings by 30%. Managed staff. Identified members talents and connected them with roles and responsibilities in organization and relationships. Expanded member participation. Mentored lay leadership.

Successfully enabled families to grieve though socially distancing using live streaming of Dignity Memorial Services.

Pastored multicultural North Presbyterian Church, Denver, Co. Guided program development around diversity represented. Introduced congregation to future vision of service to the community as a faith organization. Represented congregation in community training and activities, giving the organization a cooperative and engaging persona. Membership involvement increased.

As professionally trained and Board Certified Chaplain, listened empathetically to terminally ill patients, family, staff providing healing presence and compassion. Created atmosphere of confidence and peace. Counseled within the Hospice IDT twice monthly meetings and facility IDT meetings advocating for the unique offerings of Spiritual Care. Patients died in peace and families felt included in the dying process in meaningful ways. Served the spiritual life of multiple faith backgrounds, using Chaplaincy principles.
