Hello! I am an English-related student studying at the University of Central Missouri with the intention of building a professional portfolio. Throughout the past four years, I have published several articles for print publications and participated consistently in school-related events in print and online production. I was the editor-in-chief of my high school journalism department and went on to win several awards for my articles at state that year. One of the articles I submitted that gained considerable traction covered human trafficking in Kansas City. I fully researched, interviewed, and wrote the piece and earned a superior rating at our state conference that year. As a result, I attended a workshop on full scholarship hosted by the Mizzou school of journalism. This workshop was taught by investigative journalists, ranging from the local to national scale. Moreover, I believe the skills I learned working on print and online publications will be helpful in professional copywriting. The "Hi-life" magazine I wrote for was fully monetized and operated periodically. The experience gave me a solid foundation for time management and meeting deadlines, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the legal boundaries of journalism and monetized writing. I write with consistent accuracy and efficiency, and I believe my skills would be a great addition to your team, and an excellent opportunity to strengthen my skills in a professional lens.
