This course trains students to synthesize past research systematically and rigorously such as to lay out, build or test theory, and to make a valuable theoretical contribution. Students will learn the nature of theory from a social science perspective and how to keep academic research focused on theory development. Students learn the major stages of the systematic literature review methodology:

Writing the study protocol and training the reviewers;
