I am writing to you in response to your advertisement for an EHS Specialist-Equipment technician. I am currently seeking to return to the EHS field in a manufacturing setting, specifically one that will allow me to use my EHS training and education. With a diverse background in both work and education, I feel I could be a very valuable asset to your EHS team.

In my most recent role, and as Chief of Pharmacy, I was in charge of all projects for pharmacy and the Laboratory. These projects were operational, clinical and business developmental in nature. I was responsible for driving new initiatives for the Erie VA Medical Center to ensure that we maintained a specific number of unique patients. The development and management of new initiatives such as an oncology clinic expansion and the Western Market are examples of such programs that successfully generated new business.

In my past work experience, for example with International Paper, I was tasked with development and management of an environmental health and safety program for the research center laboratories and the pilot plant. When employed with the Department of Health, I was responsible for all aspects of water quality and solid waste enforcement and compliance. I was also the principal investigator for all water pollution control and spill response issues. In addition I was also the General Manager of an environmental consulting firm where we had clients who were seeking help navigating regulations for water, solid waste, hazardous waste and spill remediation.
