Aiming high to be considered for an avionics position at the company Aircraft Inspection
and Management (AIM)
Providence, RI 02904
*********@*****.***
I am an Air Force retiree with 20 years of honorable service. During my career, I held 3 career fields. My first four, formative years were in Meteorology, stationed at Beale AFG, CA. Home to the U2 and previously the SR-71. Meteorology was a challenge due to the max celing of both aircraft being close to or in the ionosphere.
I was then stationed on Cape Cod, MA and cross-trained into POL (Petroleum, Oils and lubricants). This position gave me the opportunity to refuel and defuel almost every aircraft both military and civilian. My third career field was Avionics. Here, I attended seven months of in-residence schooling at two Air Force bases (Keesler and Shepard AFB). Even after my schooling for avionics, my education and learning had just began. I have eight years of Avionics experience and a further eight years of POL which was refueling, defueling and working on fuel systems. I am also a competent plumber and pipefitter, who completed a five year apprenticeship in Plumbing and Pipefitting through Local 51 Plumbers and Pipefitters, East Providence, RI. There is not a
(construction) tool I have not used. I have also witnessed a large U.S Middle School being built from foundation to roof, and not a concept of the construction business I do not understand. I am currently attending school full-time at the Community College of Rhode Island, pursuing EMT licensure. However, I have come to the realization that it is around Aircraft that I enjoy, am talented at where I feel I belong.
