Main Tester for Wiltel’s Trunk Master application. This application used up-to-date switch, trunk, and trunk member information which routed organizational units, including Traffic Engineering, Switch Translations, Customer Care, Margin Analysis, Call Collection/Fraud, Provisioning, and Call Mediation.
Read Business Requirements and Design Documents and created test cases that supported each area of the system enhancements that were being made.
Testing new enhancements. I was required to create my own testing environments.
This included the design of physical network infrastructures, which created circuit layouts
for test.
Tested equipment configurations down to the level of:
-Design Voice Switches, designing Racks, Sub-Racks, Slots, and Circuit PAKS. Creating Lead Sets, Term Points in and out of the FSX panel back to Voice Switch and CISCO Network Element. Creating Lead Sets from CISCO Network Elements in and out of DSX Panels and from SENTIENT Network Elements in and out of the DSX Panel.
-Design of OC3, DS3 and DS1 equipment. Slotting DAL, WATS, IMT, and Feature Group A, B & D Trunk Groups on DS0 circuits.
Responsible for creating signoff documents once a new release was tested and approved for production.
Participated on conference calls with all stakeholders as well as supervisors and managers to discuss timelines and issues that pertained to new releases.
