Professor Assistant

Dear hiring manager:

I am writing to express my sincere interest in the open position for an assistant professor at your institute. I am a motivated researcher with solid background knowledge and substantial practical experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Autonomous Systems, Internet of Things, and Distributed Systems. Now, I am a postdoc researcher at Stevens Institute of Technology. In addition, I am a consultant in some projects related to machine learning and healthcare in Rutgers dental school. Before this position, I had several positions as Assistant Professor, Researcher, and Lecturer in different universities and research centers. Brief information about my educational background and my achievements are explained in the next two paragraphs.

I have a Ph.D. in AI from Amirkabir university of technology. During my Ph.D., I designated several learning systems based on reinforcement learning theories to organize some protocols in peer-to-peer networks. More specifically, I worked on the theory of artificial life based on Cellular Automata and Theory of reinforcement learning based on Learning Automata. We suggested several distributed reinforcement learning based on fusion of cellular automata and learning automata. We also worked on its mathematical foundations based on ordinary differential equations and Markov processes and then the results of my thesis have been published in well-known journals such as Knowledge based systems (KBS), Applied Intelligence, and genetic programming and evolvable machines to mentioned few. We used a distributed system called peer-to-peer systems as a benchmark to evaluate the attributes of the proposed learning models. The first result of my application part was published in journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA). Since the laboratory of my supervisor has had several research cores including artificial life, biologically inspired computation, sensor networks, Internet of Things, and Blockchain Technology, I had a chance to participate in different projects which led to publishing several articles. During my M.Sc., I worked on peer-to-peer search engine. In fact, I have been working on fully distributed systems and autonomous systems in the past ten years.

I have published two books, five book chapters, thirteen journal papers, and eighteen conference papers as explained in my resume. The number of citations to my articles in computer engineering is more than 500. In addition, I have several publications in applied AI and IoT to healthcare. The number of my total citations is more than 1000. The number of publications and also scientific roles such as reviewer and editorship may show my progress.
