EDUCATION

Clemson University, Graduation: December, 2021 Greenville, SC
Bachelor of Arts in English and Accounting
University of Colorado Boulder, CO
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Senior Staff Accountant
JPS Composite Materials Corp, Anderson, SC 2021-Present
I am a major contributor within the Finance department at JPS, primarily in relation to dealings with both our internal and external auditors in the areas of fixed assets, intercompany accounting, cash, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal processes required to support the fair presentation of the financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. As an example of this, I was directly responsible for the creation of more accurate monthly journal entries related to the fixed asset lifecycle, particularly in relation to depreciation and potential asset writedowns. I also created a new and more efficient process done as part of the monthly close related to all intercompany accounts, in particular as related to the corporate cash side and its integration with the JPS financial statements. I also reconciled all the payroll accounts, particularly those related to the various tax withholding balance sheet accounts as payroll is funded by our parent company and is also an integral part of our financial statements. In conclusion, these items, among others, make me a major contributor/reason for our clean financial statements since the start of my employment at JPS.
