Achievements;

I prepared JSA which helped to identify the dangers of specific tasks within jobs in such a way it reduced the risk of injury to site workers, met safety standards, improve communication, aid in training, and prevent hazardous conditions in the workplace.

Ensured Safety Induction training were conducted for new workers and site visitors and feedback received after the training.

I ensured that relevant work permits required for any job task were issued by the concerned QatarEnergy personnel before start of worksite activities.

Ensured I kept and maintained a database of HSE hazard identification, Risk assessment and controls (HSE Risk Register, Environmental Aspects and Impacts) relevant in the workplace.

I ensured there is Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in the workplace.

I conducted safety campaigns as per the KPI for the Project team on the need to report worksite-related incidents

I developed HSE training and competence check matrix for external safety trainings exclusively for workers that carried out critical activities (e.g. work at height, confined space entry etc.) in the worksite

I prepared HSE Plan for project sites and revised them annually.

I carried out evaluation of employees’ performance according to their HSE tasks (i.e. safe worker Assessment)

Ensured compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

I participated in audit exercise (conducted by HSE Dept - QatarEnergy Dukhan) and Bureau Veritas)

Ensured I participated in Management Review Meeting chaired by the Project Manager in order to discuss where we were lagging and opportunity for improvement. I also ensured that Worker Representatives of different worksite locations participated in the management meeting.

I ensured the Project team complied with federal, state, local requirements/QatarEnergy’s guidelines ad advised management on needed action.

Ensured that audit programs and questionnaires were updated and recommended new policies and procedures.

I conducted Emergency Preparedness Awareness and engagement actions in order to educate project team on expected actions during incidents (i.e. toolbox talk addressing site’s emergency response actions/issues)

I developed HSE Objectives and Targets consistent with the Client’s HSE Objectives and Targets.

I ensured Targets were set for Senior managers, site Engineers, worksite Supervisors in the order to make sure all management team were involved in the site’s HSE activities to yield positive result.

I delivered front line safety education and on-site safety training to the workers.

Ensured investigation were carried out on accidents/incidents in order to determine the root cause and lessons learnt.

Ensured HSE policies and procedures were championed in the project site.

I ensured that there are HSE incentives for employees as the program helps to motivate the Workers to execute their site activities in a safe manner.

I set targets for Project manager to participate in site toolbox talks.

Ensured that senior managers personally involve in site’s HSE meetings and Audits.

I developed a specific site HSE Policy used in the project site consistent with the Client’s HSE Policy.

Ensured that the project team are conversant with Company’s HSE Policy through awareness training and campaigns.

I maintained a monthly inventory of all the Power Tools, Full Body Harnesses used in the site.

Ensured the standard of PPEs used in the site by the Workers are of good quality by making sure the management involves the QA/QC Engineer in the purchase of PPEs before deploying the materials to the workplace.

I ensured safety inspections and walk-through with site managers are carried out regularly as per the Target.
