-Assign staff members to work areas to establish workflow to meet department needs and deadlines.

-Follow and enforce all VA SPS and infection control standards.

-Reviews staff member's work to guarantee instrumentation is processed correctly using VA SOP’s

and Policies.

-Work closely with Leads and management to orient training for new or less experience staff.

-Develop rotation with management for staff members who may have performing concerns.

-Decontaminates, cleans, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes Medical/surgical

instrumentation.

-Operates computerized system to maintain tracking of all instrumentation.

-Inspecting for any damaged items and nonconformance of OR Staff.

-Explains methods and procedures as needed to staff members

- Performs quality assurance check on work being done by staff.

- Corrects and guides Staff members when needed.

- As a working QA Tech will step into different areas as needed to complete department needs

- Observes and identifies equipment discrepancies, submitted work order request
