Leadership Experience
I have been an Engineering Manager and a Principal Engineer and have taught automation, control, and software classes at local community colleges. I’ve managed people and projects, to include, defining of control system requirements, hardware selection, cost estimating, scope, schedule, and budget management, as well as project installation and commissioning. I’ve done training and mentoring of younger engineers and technicians and developed them into an exceptional team. I’m also experienced with extensive customer contact, including sales, design, project and change order management.
Project and Programming Experience
I’ve designed MES, SCADA, IIOT, Data Acquisition and Automation Systems, integrating multiple levels of controllers, robots and servers, using PLC programming, UI programing, and middleware to databases that I’ve constructed. I’ve programmed in VB, C# and LabView to provide user interfaces, systems controls, data acquisition, and web service interface to an SAP ERP system. I have experience with embedded programming using Assembly language, Python, LabView, and C, to include programming an autonomous vehicle, wearable IOT applications and test equipment. I’ve also done Full Stack (Front End and Back End) programming for an AWS deployed Micro Service for a non-profit start-up for disaster relief.
