Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop & implement safe systems of work for the project in conjunction with the project Directors/Section in charges

Check and inspect power, electrical, mechanical tools etc. Used by the workers at job site to secure in good conditions to avoid any accident happen while performing or commencing their job.

Ensuring work permit system followed for all hazardous jobs at site.

Ensure risk assessment is carried out for the critical work activities.

Ensuring working agency obtained approved Safe Work Procedure.

Conducting of safety Induction training to new employees & visitors.

Strict use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoe, gloves, goggles, harnesses, Face mask, aprons etc. & providing proper PPEs to employees related to job at work site.

Ensuring Logout & Tag out of Loto lock at energized power lines during operation & maintenances of electrical works.

Tower crane, crawler crane, mobile crane & all lifting tackles gear with approved fitness test certificate issued by a competent person to be maintained & Barricading of lifting point location for lifting of materials. All rigging & lifting operations should be carried out safely under the supervision of trained & skilled operator foremen signalman & rigger.

Weekly Inspections of vehicles such as concrete mixer trailer tipper forklift truck fitted with horn headlight top Indicator Lamp & reverse siren seat belt side mirror well trained & skilled operators with driving/ operating license & ID card.

Regular inspection of overhead water tank, Hydrant system, hose reel hose, fire detectors (FRS) sprinkler system in Warehouses & site stores.

Installations & inspection of portable firefighting extinguishers DCP, CO2 at site office Premises & various locations of project sites.

Carryout regular inspection in all work related fields Electrical, Hot work, Painting etc. Operation & Maintenance on site & record results.

Installation of safety guidelines & signs for all the employee's & visitors at various location of project site.

On identification of the high risk hazards informing to the management.

Barricading of the required area by proper means in a view to restrict entry of unauthorized vehicles & personal at the work site along the main gate with good security setup besides display of caution boards to indicate of under construction.

Working at height require special safety measures towards scaffolding platform & ladders should be of good material usage, conformity to standards, ladders design against tripping slipping or sliding full body harnesses is must guardrail to be provided at working platform of scaffolding (above ground height 1.8 meters/ 6 feet).

Attending safety meeting such as committee meeting, weekly safety meeting, and safety awareness program.

Coordinating & arranging /schedules of training programmers, safety introduction tool box talks are carried out, supervisor awareness, emergency evacuation drill.

Health & welfare includes first aid kit with required medicine available in use, provision of hygiene cool drinking water, washing facilities along with good ventilation in restroom urinals & sanitation.

Maintaining records of all incidents, accident, property damages & near misses occurred on the site.

Conduct safety tool box meeting to sub-contractor & reports filing system.

Discover & determine unsafe working condition & initiative corrective action.

Daily monitoring on all work activities & updating daily safety reports.
