• Check locomotives, railcars and generators to detect faults and failures.

• Fault diagnosis and management of accidental repairs of Deutz BF8M1015CP, MAN D2842 LE602,

MAN D2542 MLE, CAT D398, CAT3406C, EMD 645 E3C and ALCO 251C diesel engines.

• Investigate the cause of mechanical failures or unforeseen maintenance problems.

• General overhaul of diesel engines and its various components (water pumps, injection pumps,

Turbocharger, WOODWRD regulator).

• Repair of KNORR VV120T motor-compressors, Westinghouse P60 brake block, KE2C ALP brake

distributor, etc.

• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and that repairs meet manufacturer's

requirements.

• Design of plastic injection molds and mechanical parts (SolidWorks, Master Cam V5)

• Read and interpret technical drawings, charts and tables or examine sample parts to determine the

machining operations to be performed and to determine the optimum sequence of operations.

• Adjust, operate and maintain various machine tools (MAZAK, FADAL), to perform precision, non-

repetitive machining work, including sawing, turning, milling, boring, planing, drilling and

rectification.

• Fit and assemble machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.

• Verify, using precision measuring instruments, that product dimensions are accurate and conform

to specifications.

• Set up and operate machining machines in order to perform machining operations (FICEP: TIPO

B251, 1001D, RED200, A164T; VOORTMAN: V630, V250; Plasma: Ajan)

• Study work orders and interpret drawings to determine the machining operations to be performed.

• Check the dimensions of machined parts using micrometers and other precision measuring

instruments.

• Perform routine maintenance of machinery and equipment.

• Enter codes corresponding to speed, flow rate and cutting coordinates in computer numerical

control (CNC) machining machines.

• Prepare, adjust and operate shears, eccentrics, mechanical presses, saws, drills, press brakes

(AMADA, DURMA).

• Investigate the cause of problems, take corrective action and perform minor repairs.
