I had an opportunity to get hands-on laboratory experience with VSU researchers;

participate in seminars and trips to national biomedical laboratories; and enroll in college courses for credit. Presented at VSU.

Received an award letter (certification of participation) from the Dean in July 2000.

Master Program, The commonwealth Medical School- Research Experience in graduate program ( Epidemiology)

Mentor: Dr Mushfiq R. Tarafdar, PHD,MPH,MBBS, Associate Professor of Epidemiology Investigation of the most common reason why 50-75 years old individuals in Northern Pennsylvania are less likely to undergo screening for colorectal cancer (We conducted primary research by developing over 120 surveys in Pike County and Lackawanna county. Additionally, our group collected secondary data from number of patients in Geisinger Medical Center in Scranton, PA.
