● HVAC General: familiar with zone thermostats with a minimum of 3 zones per unit, managed 8 units, in the largest building on campus. I am familiar with pneumatics, can calibrate and or replacing Johnson Control pneumatic thermostats. I was responsible for 14 air handlers for which I handled general PM, such as changing filters, changing belts, and greasing the motors and fans. Checking belts and pressures during rounds bi weekly. Also did general calls such as cleaning vents, hot and cold calls, and some minor PM on air compressors.

● Steam: worked in steam pits, familiar with steam traps, draining steam pits of condensate, rebuilding traps, general knowledge of steam fitting.

● Plumbing: Minor plumbing work, changing out flush valves, acorn valves, restrictor valves, and vacuum breakers. Learned how to change sink pressure, plugged sinks, toilets and urinals.

● General Maintenance: Monthly inspections on fire extinguishers (98 in building on monthly basis), inspect eye wash stations, changing fluorescent lights, remove and replace dispensers (paper towel, toilet paper, soap, and Purell), adjust door closers, work on appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators)

● Locksmith: pin cylinders, cut keys, stamp keys, worked with sticky locks, replaced cylinders. August 2011-August 2017: Mendota Mental Health Institute, Madison, WI Psychiatric Care Technician – Advanced (PCT-A)

● Charting as much patient activity as possible to effectively communicate patient needs and expectations to oncoming staff each shift.

● Conducting rounds every 15 – 30 minutes to know where everyone is, from their location on the unit down to their sleeping position.

● Escorting patients to a variety of different locations depending on their needs, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Distributing meals during specific times. Observe patients while in dayroom, visiting rooms, grooming times, and during courtyard.

● Understanding patients level of privileges to maintain structure. Work in the nurse’s station sitting on the panel (switchboard); observing patients and flow of the unit, monitoring several areas of the unit at once.

● Build and maintain rapport with patients, as well as having structure and routine, which can prevent outbursts and/or violence on the unit.

● Responding quickly and effectively to emergency calls, which can include other units from anywhere on the Mendota campus. Physically subduing patients only when necessary. ● As an armored truck guard, I was responsible for delivery of cash and coin (in some instances transporting packages 50 lbs or greater) to a scheduled route each workday, documenting each delivery and/or pickup. Delivery routes could run throughout the state of Wisconsin and into northern Illinois.

● Adhere to a strict timeline per the scheduled delivery expectations, each checkpoint had a strict timetable and expected delivery time that was required to be adhered to. Being timely and accurate while maintaining a secure environment in public was necessary.

● At times, having large sums of money in public areas could create high pressure situations, where I had to maintain my composure and work quickly with the assigned personnel, all while being courteous and conscientious of the customer we were delivering to.

● Each workday end, record leftover cash and/or coin in the vault for federal deliveries
