● Developed and deployed a webpage-based checklist for China Compulsory Certification. It consists of the front end, built by React and its libraries, the back end, built by javascript, and a MySQL database. Employees can create, view, edit, and delete applications and store them in the database, thus greatly enhancing their working efficiency.

● In the process of developing a mobile app for inventory device management. Users can start tracing devices with codes generated by the app. They can update the location through the app whenever devices move. The front end and back end are developed using React Native and Node.js. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Computer Networking Online Research Seminar, associate researcher Aug 2021 ~ Oct 2021

● Completed a systematic course on machine learning and focused on the topic “intrusion detection on network erratic behaviors”.

● The first author of “Intrusion Detection Using Machine Learning Methods“. The paper did a literature review on 9 different algorithms in depth with an analysis of advantages and downfalls, along with their relationships to three intrusion detection methods: signature-based, where the system can detect known attack patterns, anomaly-based, where the system will alert anomalous behaviors, and specification-based, where administrators set up their own rules. The Paper was published at the International Conference on Electronic Information Engineering and Computer Technology (EIECT), and I was invited to give an oral. PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Python Search Crawler for Stock Prices Prediction Apr 2021 ~ May 2021

● Used python to establish an inverted index (a dictionary where keys are words and values are locations of words) for a given page and stored it in a file. Built a search and return module based on this inverted index that allows users to search for phrases and return results.

● Added TF-IDF score (term frequency * inverse document frequency) for each word. A higher value of this score means that this word has more significance, which should be treated with higher attention. Further improved processing speed by optimizing inverted index into more detailed categories. Also implemented a user interface using a python library called Tkinter.

● Correctly identified the stock’s trend by analyzing specific web pages for positive and negative words and checking the TF-IDF score, thus finally receiving profits. Ionic Sleep Tracker Sep 2021 ~ Dec 2021

● Used Ionic framework and javascript to develop a mobile sleep tracker which allows users to input their sleep hours. The system will generate reports based on users’ sleep conditions and analyze their sleep patterns to provide users with tips and suggestions for future sleep. Neoboard learning management system Jan 2022 ~ Jun 2022

● Developed the front end aimed at student group collaboration and academic support by using React and its libraries. The front end includes login, home, and data dashboard pages.

● Established a connection from front end to back end using javascript, where changes are saved into an SQL database. Neoboard also added the integration with Canvas, a popular learning management system, to retrieve student and instructor information.
