Develop welding processes that meet or exceed the manufacturing standards of the Kamtek customers
Assist maintenance in corrective maintenance of welding systems
Develop welding parameters for various resistance welding processes.
Evaluate destructive and ultrasonic test results and develop and implement corrective actions if necessary
Set up Bosch –Rexroth adaptive welding system including development of weld curves, analysis of weld curves, determination of high and low limits, and activation of adaptive system.

Welding Specialist
Contracted by VW to assist in the start up of its new billon dollar assembly facility in Chattanooga. Responsibilities of this position were:
Assisted VW maintenance team members with trouble shooting various welding systems including Drawn Arc Stud Welding, MIG/MAG Welding, and Resistance Welding
Helped develop TPM procedures for all welding systems.
Performed OJT training in welding systems for maintenance and production team members.
Worked with robot specialist in developing and implementing a new tip dress system.
Established tip dressing and tip changing procedures to assure the highest possible weld quality, and audited to assure compliance with established procedures.
Analyzed weld destructive testing data to identify nonconforming welds and implemented countermeasures to assure acceptable weld quality
Assisted other specialists in establishing TPM procedures.
Assisted other specialists in assuring that the necessary spare parts for all welding systems are established in the store room.
Experienced with Bosch, Emhart and SKS welding systems.
Extensive experience with Fanuc robots, utilizing Bosch welding controls, with both electric and pneumatic servo welding guns.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Selected to help build and start up Nissan’s new manufacturing facility in Canton, Mississippi. This was a “green field site” with completely new equipment concepts, completely new products, and a work force with no previous automotive experience.
Coordinated the start up and try out of over 400 Fanuc R2000 resistance welding robots, utilizing Dengensha Servo welding guns.
Coordinated weld certification of all welding on 3 new Nissan product lines
Developed specific Quality Control procedures for welding in Canton.
Worked with Fanuc and welding control supplier to correct interface issues between the welding system and the robot.
Helped train new maintenance technicians on welding and robotic systems.
Trained new locally hired engineers on Nissan practices and procedures

Welding Engineer for entire body assembly area in Nissan’s vehicle assembly plant in TN.
Responsible for welding parameters and quality for over 800 resistance welding robots.
