Dr. Shawarby has over 25 years of diverse experience with thorough understanding of business, technical, and all IT aspects of project management with emphasis on construction management
(PMP), [mega projects, housing, infrastructure projects (water and sanitation projects)] including managing design, installation, operation, staff supervision, and site management. He worked as the lead project manager for Fluence Corp of the USA and overseas as well as managing all technical aspects in water/waste water treatment and desalination. He served as Senior project manager for the Saudi SBG Co of Saudi Arabia and assisted in project management of several mega projects
(construction of roads, housing, airports, tunnels, and infrastructure) in Saudi Arabia, Africa and Malaysia. In this capacity, he prepared proposals, budgets, reports, change orders, sub-contracts, as well as on-site management to ensure compliance and timely delivery of projects according to plans. He is familiar with most construction management software including MS Project Management, HCSS, and ProPricer for DoD contracts.
Dr. Shawarby served as senior consultant to US Agency for International Development USAID in the construction sector. He serves as consultant to the founders of WEFTEC (the world's most comprehensive gathering of water quality professionals and thought leaders) that had its last annual meeting in New Orleans in early October this year. He also has a solid relationship with the Water Resource Center of the University of Minnesota. He served as Senior consultant with the World Bank, African Development Bank and other organizations.
