Additional Experience
Work in various ICU units, including coronary, medical, surgical and neurology as well the Emergency Room. Administer oxygen therapy such nasal cannula, venturi mask. Non-rebreather mask, high flow nasal cannula, etc… Assist in intubation and perform extubation as order by physicians, perform airways care. Initiate and manage airway care. Initiate and manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation as order by physicians based on evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data obtained from diagnostic and physiologic tests. Initiate and maintain conventional and advance mode of ventilation. Assess patient’s ability to be weaned from mechanical ventilation via unit-based weaning protocol. Arterial blood draws and analysis. Transport mechanical ventilation patient to and from ancillary areas Ct-Scan, MRI Intervention Radiology, etc… Set up and administer Iloprost and nebulized epoprostenol for intubated/non-intubated patients. Perform other respiratory procedures such as bedside PFTs, sputum induction and chest physiotherapy via approved devices. Train and oversee newly hired therapist and nurses.
