Garden Fresh Foods is a manufacturer of ready-to-eat salads. The largest category of the business is in private label production for customers in 13 states. Garden Fresh is an SQF level lll certified manufacturer.

Drafted a back-haul program as a cost-reduction effort within the transportation department. Set up the MC number (DOT required) and cultivated potential customers who need freight brought back to the Milwaukee area.

Responsible for the routing of loads to our customers’ daily shipments on the eastern seaboard including procurement of LTL carriers for order deliveries to customers in FL, TX, AZ and CA.

Created a network of third-party carriers to supplement the company fleet during holiday and peak summer volume requirements. Maintained contact with carriers to insure compliance of SQF guidelines

Created and continue to manage the safety program within DOT guidelines. Reduce and manage the CSA scorecard through training, log auditing and discipline where needed. Guided the company through its first ever satisfactory compliance review.

ITA is a satellite company owned by Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. The company’s main focus is the transportation of produce loads from the West Coast back to the company warehouses in Stevens Point, WI and Oconomowoc, WI. Additional responsibilities include the transportation of loads from the facility in Mazomanie to the retail stores in three states.

Responsible for the routing, customer service and movement of loads from Lewis Bakeries in Ft Wayne, IN to stores in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Responsible for the transportation and efficient routing to stores in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota through an independent leased fleet of owner operators.

Management of the safety department for ITA and Kee Trans Inc. Conducted annual audits of Roundy’s five different divisions. Trained and guided the safety coordinators and transportation managers to maintain company and DOT standard in each facility. Direct responsibility for the ITA fleet including training, discipline and monitoring of driver logging program.

Coordinated the logistical movements of special shipments to individual stores items included time-sensitive products requiring critical coordination during peak holidays throughout the year.
