I learned how to book all surgical and radiological procedures, input them in the computer and trained all future nurses and technicians hired.
I entered directions for all procedures into what was known as the Dictionary and included hints to assure the schedulers that they had chosen the correct procedure.
We took inbound phone calls from physicians, their office personnel, patient care floors, other hospital departments and the general public.
We booked mammograms and notified patients if they had abnormal results and needed further examination.
