In this recovery center with a residential program for patients with eating disorders such as compulsive eating, anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. I worked cooking and portioning meals and snacks according to their nutritional specifications. My goal was to be part of the recovery of the patients and pay detailed attention of different food allergies, diabetes, cultural and religious exclusions by preparing foods that fit their specific needs. I assisted the patients by teaching them the proper and balanced way to eat in a daily basis following and implementing established recipes and nutritional plans with the guidance, assistance and supervision of a Registered Dietitian. I had to work directly with each patient by listening to them, answering their questions about the menu and meal plans and guiding them through their recovery process on adopting healthy eating habits and choices. I also was in charge of imparting a cooking class for the patients with the goal of teaching the patients how to prepare their meals.

Keeping the rehabilitation center and their residential apartments well stocked; assembly and deliver snacks and breakfast in a biweekly basic; communicate with patients, recovery coaches, dietitians and medical staff to ensure the patients safety and that nutritional plans are met; rotate and perform changes in the menu if necessary to accommodate any of food allergy or food exclusion.
