Nature of duties and Responsibilities as Project Manager
To ensure timely completion of project within approved budgets on cost, resources without compromising on Quality & HSE.
Responsible for planning and scheduling of all major activities of the Project to achieve timely completion.
Ensure all technical aspects of the project are strictly complied and in conformity with Conditions of Contract, Particular Specifications, General Specifications, Contract Drawings & BOQ.
Coordinate with the Engineering team on all aspects of the design including scope of value engineering and ensure initiation of RFIs for any design discrepancies.
Monitoring the engineering works in lieu with engineering team such as progress of the shop drawings and materials submittals with reference to the approved planning schedules/logs .
Liaise with authorities and any other statutory bodies as required for the project.
Determine all Project requirements (Technical and General), organizational structure of the project team, setting team direction, work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, and arrange for assignment of project personnels.
Develop Action and Recovery plans to support program delivery on time.
Initiate weekly internal meetings to review reports generated by Construction Managers to assess work completion as per weekly forecast.
Ensure utmost quality control, health and safety standards are implemented at site as per the construction standards and project requirements,thereby limiting NCRs and safety violations .
Monitor wastage of labour monthly in comparison with the project labour histogram and take stern action intimating Construction managers and ensure strict supervison.
Establish, update, and communicate Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records vide PMMR .
Identify risks that may affect the project work progress and completion and action in cooperation with Project Executives and Director of Operations to mitigate risks.
Assisting the Projects Director in setting up, adjusting and improving the plans, procedures methods and techniques for applying the project management procedures to attain maximum output.
Timely submission and follow up for the approval of Interim Payment Certificates
(IPC) with Main Contractor/Engineer.
Initiate the close out procedures with emphasis on Testing & Commissioning, Snags close outs, AS Builts etc. Ensure timely completion and smooth handing over of the project to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer /Client. Personal
