So the first step in being a roofer is the shingle tear off. Once we pull the shingles and synthetic paper I will inspect the roof for any damages. If there is any rot I will remove sheeting from the house and install new sheeting. If the customer chooses he wants new fasea I will remove the gutters and run new fasea. Really that is pretty much it. Last step is putting the drip metal on the house. Once that is complete we're good to start running shingles. That is pretty much it. Sounds simple but once you start tearing into a roof you'll never know what the damage is. My biggest accomplishment would have to be when I shingled 90 % of a 40 Sq house and being able to see the costumers appreciation. It was a good feeling Parts Salesman
