I recently received my CNA Certificate in July. I am 19 years old; I am currently a student attending LSC-UP where I am going for my psychology degree. I was doing CNA clinicals at Timber Ridge, I learned a lot with the help of there amazing staff. I would like to continue this path and have the opportunity to learn many new things at this hospital, I believe that you can never “just learn enough”, there’s always something new to learn.

In this field our main concern was customers satisfaction. Our saying is “the customer is always right”. We all had our weekly and opening duties as well. Everyone had a roll to fill in.

One of our main roles was customer service. We were around people all day and helped them pick out charms and also listen to their concerns. We validated everything and made no one feel out of place.

We did our clinicals at Timber Ridge located in Jasper, Texas. We would assist other CAN’s. We would help residents that couldn’t feed or weren’t unable to do daily living activities. I made sure to always check on them, I would sometimes stay in the room and gave them an ear if they just wanted to talk.

I am currently a student at Lone Star College University Park. In my free time I play soccer for a league and help out in our criminal justice club at school. I’m also an assistant coach for Klein 4y soccer team.
