● Provide quality nursing care to all residents in an environment that promotes their rights,dignity,freedom of choice and individuality as illustrated as following
● Provide individualized care which encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical, physical, mental and psychosocial well-being
● Contribute to the care planning process by the charge nurse or other care planning staff with specific information and observation of each resident's needs and preferences
● Attend to the individual needs of each resident which may include assistance with grooming,bathing,oral hygiene,feeding incontinent care,toileting colostomy care prosthetic appliances,transferring,ambulation range of motion, communicating or other needs in keeping with the individuals care requirements.
● Help maintain the comfort and the privacy and dignity of residents in the delivery of an services to them
● Assist in maintaining a safe neat, and clean environment
● Observe residents for changes in conditions or behavior and promptly report these changes to the appropriate licensed nursing personal.
● Prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning and repositioning in mobile residents and by applying moisturizer to frail skin and other areas
● Perform various tasks assigned by the charge nurse, including checking vital signs,weighing residents applying creams,ointments and specimen collections
● Assist with orientation residents and their families to the nursing home/ hospital on admission and when a transfer occurs
● Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents,vistor’s families,peers and supervisors
● Completes documented care provided to residents and provides information to all departments included in the residents care plan according to department policies
● Document visitors and residents entry and exiting
● Making rounds throughout the building and checking all hallways and exits for hazardous conditions
● Inspecting all safety equipment to ensure that its functioning properly and documenting and replacing all equipment that is broken or malfunctions.
● Checking in/out everyone that enters the property /book log/ sign in pass
● Monitoring the premises on foot or via cameras
● Check for hazardous or unsafe on premises and documenting it
● Securing assigned post and reporting incidents
● Making and answering phone calls
● Educating staff on proper security procedures and requirements
● Performing security procedures such as metal detectors or bag checks
● Ensuring that employees have identity verification and that unauthorized people cannot enter the work space without guest passes or other credentials
