Elwood Jenifer was employed by Amcor Healthcare Packaging from January 1998 through April 30, 2022 when our facility was combined and moved to our Asheville, North Carolina facility. During that time, Elwood worked in a variety of roles and departments and learned our manufacturing business inside out. As one of the Team Leads, Elwood would report the team’s progress directly to me in Human Resources, as I also served as Safety Manager at the facility. As a colleague and manager, I can best discuss the qualities and accomplishments that Mr. Jenifer brought to our company.

Elwood was a self starter who required little supervision. He was informed about and interested in our products, markets and strategic direction. This helped him run a department that was productive and made high quality products with a lot of employee/team input. Productivity was increased by 25% under his lead and their normal quality rating was consistently maintained at 99%+ during his employ. Also relevant is that no job was ever too big or too small for him. When and where ever help was needed he was always ready, willing and able to assist with a smile.

Elwood was also good partner to his co workers and always shared tips and ideas to help others manage quality departments too. He put together self training sessions as well as shared thorough notes and Good Manufacturing processes and procedures as well as kept updated SOPs to help others to continue to develop their skills and succeed. He is a good mentor and honest man.

We were sorry that our time together ended and that Elwood could not transfer to another Amcor Facility. I myself stayed on only to manage the final exit of employees and the environmental closure then left shortly after he did on June 30, 2022.

If it is not obvious already, I highly recommend Elwood Jenifer. His contributions in our workplace over the years were substantial. He will certainly prove to be an asset to his next employer both for his skills and his ability to develop others. He is a person who holds himself accountable to the highest standards because he truly cares about the people around him: the customer and his team mates. Sincerely,
