• Assist department’s current research efforts by creating pellets made of potassium and an algae sample.

• Using the Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) to present graphs illustrating levels of potassium and algae existed in the sample.

• Observe the graphs of the heat flow and temperature of the Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC).

• Compare graphs using the Origin program.
