Communicate with the management and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates to facilitate a smooth transition of information.

Conduct negotiations during the project to ensure issues are resolved.

Manage and coordinate the team of Quantity Surveyors.

Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved.

Prepare cost analysis and form cost reduction strategies to ensure the overall value is enhanced for the project.

Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.

Prepare budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.

Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.

Procure or agree on the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.

Measure and value the work done on-site.

Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, planning Engineer project managers and site engineers.
