·Preforming mill work, constructing framing and making items such as benches, partitions, frames, tables and custom cabinets.

·Applying standard measurements, specifications, and instructions when constructing, installing, or repairing items such as frame structures, decking, partitions, shelving, doors, forms, siding, and scaffolds.

·Using and operating a variety of hand and power tools such as hammers, hand saws, drills, planes, routers, screwdrivers, power nailers and fasteners, and power sanders and planes.

·Skill in using measuring tapes, squares, levels, and other carpentry tools to plan, lay out, measure, cut, construct, and install materials according to dimensional requirements and specifications.

·Ability to work from sketches, work orders, blueprints, and instructions which are complete in terms of type of job/materials required and methods to be used.

·Cutting, constructing, installing, repairing and modifying wood, composite, and wood substitute items where specific fit and accuracy are within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product.

·Repairing office type furniture such as re-gluing loose joints and replacing shelving and slide mechanisms.

·Working knowledge of wood working techniques and basic shop mathematics.
