Professional Summary:
To summarize my pharmacy career within the VA Medical Centers, I have served as the clinical pharmacist and prior authorization pharmacist in all ambulatory medical and surgical specialty clinics. In addition, I have designed medication monitoring clinics for Neurology, Nephrology, Cardiology, and Rheumatology services. My strengths are constructively evaluating prior authorization drug requests, creating quality therapeutic care plans, providing drug information, solving complex problems, and initiating projects for patient safety, area improvements, and cost containment. I enjoy working independently as well as collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams. I have taken a lead role in Prior Authorization by choice throughout my VA Pharmacy career and received numerous awards for the most clinical pharmacy interventions. Statistics have documented my service to be exceptionally above the national average in getting patients to therapeutic goals.
