I am a very hard worker, with a lot of ambition and drive. I have been a nursing assistant for over 10 years, the feeling of helping allows me to know that I help make a difference in someone’s life. I’ve been a sterile processor for over 5 years, I enjoyed that as well. I also have been a emergency room clerk for over 4 years.

My job was to take care of patients and help them with ADL’s. I also did some light cleaning and sanitizing. If there were any changes, I would report them to the nurse, I also did hospice care and going to patients home giving them showers and checking vitals.

As a coordinator my responsibilities were to check and organize the paperwork from the sterilizers. I also over saw ordering the supplies for the department. I also made sure that the shift I worked on was first case ready for the next day.

The staffing agency would post openings at different facilities, I would choose which facility I want and work the shift. I followed the rules of each facility some places had me to chart, but all places had me help patients with ADL’s.

TRAUMA CLERK, UNM HOSPITAL

I transferred to the emergency department to be a clerk, my job is to register patients, update their demographic information, register ambulance as they come into the ER. I am proficient in HDX, NOVISPERE, and, HEALTH HEXNET. These are programs to help verify different types of insurances. I am also trauma trained, while working in trauma I did all the above, and put orders in for the physician. I also have to communicate with the patient and their families, I also have to communicate with doctors and nurses via tiger text. I am also able to upload images into life image.
