Hostess, Denny’s
At Denny’s I greeted customers that came in, ask if they prefer a booth or table, seat them where they like, with menus and utensils. I check people out at the register, and help the waiters and waitresses if needed. I also buss tables, take to-go orders, sweep the floor and clean doors, and restock “to go” supplies.
Summer of 2020
Lava Java Bakery
Lava Java was a little delivery bakery I started at home during the summer when I was trying to earn money. I would deal with money by budgeting, purchasing ingredients for recipes and then collecting from my customers. I would bake the food and package the order in a colorful way, I then delivered the items to people’s houses. I would send out the Lava Java menu every Wednesday to people and get replies from people who were interested and delivered it to them on Sundays.

CATO’S
Right now I’m a second assistant manager here at Cato’s. I mostly am in charge of the register; checking people out and complimenting them on what they picked out. I unlock the dressing room doors when someone wants to try something on. I also help sensor the clothes by putting a pin and sensor on in a certain spot depending on the kind of material. For closing I sweep dressing rooms and check for hangers, clothes, etc. I straighten the clothes through out the store. Most importantly I check the registers at the end of the day to check that they have the right amount in it. I shut all the lights and music off, and set the store alarm.
