Atlas Coaching Solutions is an online, one on one training for students interested in learning Air Traffic Control. The program is especially geared towards students who have been hired by the FAA and are awaiting a report date to the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. The Atlas program is an intensive and comprehensive curriculum that I developed to prepare students to successfully pass the screening process at the Academy as well as prepare them for the challenging road ahead as a developmental. The coarse gives students not just the academic knowledge of air traffic control but teaches them how to handle the stress of training and performing under the most difficult of environments. Over my 29 year air traffic control career I have trained many developmentals, each with a wide range of learning abilities and temperament. I was able to identify trouble areas that were holding back the trainees progress and teach them to solve problems and develop their own critical thinking process which is key to being successful. With this knowledge and experience I can pass it on to the next generation of young controllers.
