Clinical Experience: I functioned as Physician Extender in Psychiatry with the title Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Psychiatry at VA-Outpatient Clinic, Laredo with Prescriptive Authority treating psychiatric disorders. During my academic tenure at Western University of Health Sciences, att Aurora Charter Oak Behavioral Health: Conducted various Medication Groups including groups for Alcohol Detoxification and Drug Withdrawal besides conducting groups for patients with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression and major psychiatric disorders, Member of P & T Committee and Psychopharmacology Consultation for Physicians, Nurses, PTs, Psychologists and Psychiatrists. Precepting PharmD and DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) students in Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy. Medication Management at outpatient clinic. Involved in the Patient Assessment for the drug therapy and management in-service to Professional staff at the hospital. Conducted various small research studies at the hospital on various psychiatric issues along with students and residents and results have been presented in various professional meetings and published. At Western University: I taught 'Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy' course for the PharmD Program at the University. I also taught half of Neurology block, that includes Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Stroke. I was also member of Inter-professional education committee and Fellowship and Residency Committee for the PharmD program.
