Harman JBL Professional, Northridge, Ca January 2011 – Present

Principal Mechanical Engineer

Design and install custom manual, semi/automatic product assembly machines. Attain desired outcomes by steering project management of cross-functional teams for loudspeaker development. Spearhead new product launches from womb to tomb through EV, DV, PV, MP and EOL. Design innovative, patented mechanical suspension and transport systems for the JBL VTX Series of Line Array Loudspeakers and Subwoofers including suspension accessories. Develop layout and design of 100,000 ft2 facility throughout Dandong China. Hold full accountability for tooling and fixtures design and fabrication in support of loudspeaker manufacturing. Roll-out process improvements in both Dandong and parent manufacturing facility in Tijuana Mexico. Qualify rigging systems designs using 3D printing to decrease development times and NRE investment. Design and fabricate life-cycle testing machines early in the design cycle to shorten scheduled time to MP release. Plan and build assembly procedures as well as tooling and fixtures.
