I worked years 8 years as U.S Coast Guard certified Boat Captain in the offshore oilfield as 3000 ton license any waters, l was promoted to Port Captain, l was the overseer an supervisor of all vessels in the fleet. I trained all new Captains and mates. I did that from 1994 to 2003. Before that I worked as a welder, fitter in the oilfield building jackets and production platforms for Mc Dermott Inc. welding pipe and plate. The pipe was anywhere from 12 to 40” in diameter and 1 to 4” thick, also worked in there shipyards and Dry docks building new vessels and repairing other offshore oilfield vessels.
