MILLRIGHT JOURNEYMAN, GEA POWER COOLING

• Build / Erect Cooling towers fly all mechanicals (including torque tube, drive motor, gearbox, & drive shaft) up to top of tower & set in place. Once in place set blade pitch to manufacture recommended start point

(Note: Pitch may have to be reset depending on amp. draw of motor or facility’s needs). Assist crew to be ready and in route to their assigned work site at the beginning of the workday and efficiently performing those tasks

• Perform alignment of gearbox to motor using dial indicators & correcting soft foots as necessary to achieve such alignment. Fly fan stack into place, rounding out fan stack to achieve a minimum of 1inch tip clearance on 20 foot or larger fans & inch on 16 foot or smaller fans.

• Tracking was to be within 1 inch on 20 foot or larger fans & inch on 16 foot or smaller fans. Parts were to include Amarillo gearbox, Hudson Fan hub & Hudson tuff lite II blades. EDUCATION
