I would like to work as a proofreader, relying on 37 years of experience as a teacher and developer of curricula, two master’s degrees and a bachelor's degree in journalism. My whole adult life, I have naturally found grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors while reading published works like Time magazine, professional journals, an assortment of books and several Supreme Court amicus curiae. I just retired from 37 years of pastoral work and prefer to work 20-25 hours/week from my home but am open to considering other options. Experience

Fellowship Bible Church (FBC), Winchester, VA 1993-2022.Pastor of Family Life Ministries and Pastor of Biblical Counseling. Church grew from 400-1500. Retired May 31, 2022. Responsibilities included individual and marriage counseling; writing multiple courses on biblical books, marriage, parenting, conflict resolution, the family, lay counseling, overcoming addiction to pornography and pre-marriage counseling; teaching and public speaking to groups from 20- 1000; recording podcasts; all aspects of pastoral care; training and supervising small group leaders and lay counselors.

Also spoke at area churches and Christian organizations on dating, anger, marriage, abuse, and depression. Guest-hosted a live radio call- in counseling show about 50-60 times and presented a weekly radio Bible study for 4 years. FBC - 1993-2022 - I have written and taught courses from 30-60 pages, 75-90 pages, 150-160 pages. I edited my writing and the writing of other teachers who developed and taught courses under my leadership. Also organized and led a day-long Career Fair from 2005-2010 for 75 students/year. During those events, I provided resume writing coaching and career counseling. Dallas Theological Seminary 1983-1984 - Provided resume services to seminary students. Engineering Staff Recruiters - Dallas, TX 1982 - Interviewed engineers, helped them edit and shape their resumes, coached them for their interviews, and placed them with companies. Austin Christian Counseling - Austin, TX 1978-1979 - Edited monthly newsletter for the counseling center while doing additional studies at the University of Texas.
