Joystick Operated Ride-On Device for Children with Cerebral Palsy September 2021 – May 2022 Redesigned and optimized a motorized ride-on-cart to be used during physical therapy for children with cerebral palsy. Used an Arduino microcontroller to modify the existing cart for accessibility, added safety, and comfortability. Led a 4-member project team to redesign, test and build from scratch. Research June 2021 – May 2022

Research Assistant – Key member of the research team with focus on the technology to transform biodegradable and biocompatible materials into special “smart” functions at nano/micro scales for diverse application in vaccine/drug delivery and tissue regenerative engineering. Conducted laboratory studies and research on a biodegradable and biocompatible HIV microneedle patch. Maintained research lab equipment, laboratory notebooks/documentation and operations. Microchannel Bone Tissue Chip January 2021 – May 2021 Designed a micro-channel chip that can culture three separate cell types, bone regeneration, vascularization, bone remodeling and developed expendable features of the tissue chip such as mechanical stimulation and disease remodeling.
